Sculpture exhibition "The Sentinels of the Sea"
For the fifth edition of its contemporary art festival, Port-Fréjus is working with the Scottish artist Rob Mulholland, whom he met thanks to Christel Arnold and his agency “Les Mains Éblouies”.
Glenn Fauchon, director of Port-Fréjus, has a particular attachment to art, which is confirmed in the perpetuation of the monumental exhibition, which has become an unmissable event during the summer season. His idea, in a patronage approach, is to highlight national and international artists. And after four years of exhibiting contemporary sculptures through materials such as bronze, metal and wood, Port-Fréjus is this time exhibiting Land Art: it is a current of contemporary art using the framework and the materials offered by nature.
Rob Mulholland's works are in polymirror, that is to say in stainless steel polished to produce a reflection. They fit perfectly on the quays of Port-Fréjus, discreet guardians, reflecting the colors of the sea and the sky, the clouds, the birds… and of course the boats.
The exhibition will take place on the quays of Port-Fréjus from August 25 to November 5, 2023.
