Inauguration of the fresco “Fréjus the Intrepid”

Fréjus, an emblematic city of the Côte d'Azur, is preparing to host an exceptional work of art that will illuminate the urban landscape and seduce visitors from around the world. The Fréjus Tourist Office is proud to announce the start of work on the creation of a breathtaking fresco entitled “Fréjus the Intrepid”, designed by the famous Nice street artist César Malfi.

This remarkable mural will not just be a static work of art, but a unique immersive experience. With its imposing dimensions of 120 meters long by 12 meters high, it will become the second largest fresco in France. Located on the Caquet hangar of the nature base, a major tourist location on the Côte d'Azur, it will offer a striking spectacle to all those who have the chance to contemplate it.

This ambitious project not only pushes the boundaries of urban art, but also integrates cutting-edge technologies for an enriched experience. Indeed, the fresco will be equipped with augmented reality, thus offering spectators total immersion in the creative universe of César Malfi. This unique combination of traditional art and modern technology promises to captivate and inspire a wide audience.

Work on “Fréjus l’Intrépide” began on Monday March 4 and should last approximately eight weeks. During this period, residents and visitors are invited to follow the evolution of this monumental work which will enrich the artistic heritage of Fréjus.
